Close contacts who have received booster vaccination do not need to be quarantined if they have no symptoms on the first day

24/02/2022

At a press conference held at 5:00 p.m. on February 24, Health Minister said that the Ministry of Health has adjusted the quarantine measures for close contacts. Close contacts who have completed booster vaccination will not need to be quarantined if they do not have symptoms on the first day of contact with the confirmed patient. This measure will take effect from March 1, 2022.

He noted close contacts will still need to self-test on days 1 and 3. Those close contacts who develop symptoms will then need to undergo a 5-day quarantine.

Close contacts who have not yet received their booster shots will need to be quarantined for 5 days, and those who have not completed their vaccinations will need to be quarantined for 7 days.

If a close contact had been infected within 60 days and had completed vaccination, they would have to be quarantined too.
