KWSP i-Saraan RM300 subsidy has been credited to members’ provident fund accounts on April 16. Self-employed people who have not yet applied for i-Saraan can apply now and have the opportunity to receive the government subsidy in the second half of this year.
I-Saraan is a provident fund subsidy program launched by the government to encourage self-employed people to pay their own provident funds. Members who participate in i-Saraan will receive a subsidy of 15% or up to RM500 provided by the government.
For example, when a member self-pays RM1,000, he or she will receive a RM150 subsidy. Therefore, if a member wants to receive a full RM500 subsidy, he must self-pay at least RM3,334 into his provident fund account.
The I-Saraan subsidy will be distributed in two installments each year, namely once in the first half of the year and once in the second half of the year. If members pay their own provident fund in the first half of this year, they can receive government subsidies in the second half of this year. If you only pay your provident fund in the second half of this year, you will have to wait until the first half of the next year to receive the subsidy.
Notice! I-Saraan is only open to self-employed people. If you are a wage earner, you are not eligible to participate in i-Saraan. Interested parties can open the KWSP i-Akaun APP to register to participate in i-Saraan.
