KTMB offers additional ETS services for CNY.
In conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will provide two additional electric train services (ETS) for the KL Sentral to Padang Besar route, and vice versa.
KTMB stated that ticket sales for the additional trips from January 19 to 24 will begin tomorrow (Jan 9).
The extra ETS train will leave KL Sentral at 5.05pm and arrive at Padang Besar at 10.34pm, while the train from Padang Besar will leave at 11am and arrive at KL Sentral at 4.36pm. This extra train sells 630 tickets per day, for a total of 3,780 tickets, including business class coaches.
The initiative was designed to meet the high passenger demand during the holiday season and to encourage people to use public transportation to get home safely and comfortably.
