Yesterday, a man was killed by a crocodile while crossing a river in Kinabatangan, Sabah.
The Fire and Rescue Department got a distress call at 2.24 p.m., alerting them to the occurrence in Ladang Lamag Sungai Pin Kinabatangan, according to Berita Harian.
The deceased was allegedly dragged underwater by the crocodile while crossing the river on a wooden bridge where the water level had increased, according to witnesses.
A team of five personnel and police from the Fire and Rescue Department were rushed to the spot, according to a spokesperson of the department.
Search and rescue operations were launched with the help of many other authorities as soon as they arrived on the scene. After half of the man’s remains were discovered, the operation terminated around 5.10 p.m.
