In Malaysia, over 33% of children are fully vaccinated.

Almost 33% of children are fully vaccinated.

As of yesterday, 1,166,385 children aged five to eleven had finished their vaccinations under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids), accounting for 32.9 percent of the country’s child population.

According to the CovidNow portal, a total of 1,714,171 children have gotten at least one dosage of the vaccine, accounting for 48.3% of the total.

A total of 2,913,093 persons, or 93.6 percent, have finished the immunisation, while 3,009,604 individuals, or 96.7 percent, have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine.

At the same time, 16,094,258 people, or 68.4% of the adult population, have received the booster shot, while 22,974,281 people, or 97.6%, have completed two doses of the Covid-19 vaccination and 23,250,933 people, or 98.8%, have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

In terms of daily doses, a total of 10,883 vaccine doses were given out yesterday, with 5,172 being the first dose, 4,709 being the second dose, and 1,002 being a booster dose, bringing the total number of vaccine doses given out under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 70,908,659.

Meanwhile, according to the Health Ministry’s GitHub page, five Covid-19 deaths were reported yesterday, two in Sarawak and one each in Perak, Perlis, and Selangor.
