The Ministry of Transport has launched an electronic bidding system to allow people to bid online for the license plate number they are interested in.
The Malaysian license plate is mainly made up of letters and numbers, each state will have a different letter instead, such as B for Selangor, J for Johor, P for Penang and so on.
The electronic bidding license plate system is very simple to use, first you need to register an account with the system. You can visit https://jpjebid.jpj.gov.my/ebid/profile/signup, enter your ID number and then verify reCAPTCHA.
After completing the account registration, you can select Daftar Masuk https://jpjebid.jpj.gov.my/ebid/login. Select the license plate number you are interested in and complete the payment via credit card.
However, it is important to note that individuals can only successfully bid on a maximum of 3 license plates, while companies can only bid on a maximum of 5 license plates. Currently, you can only bid for special license plates online, while for general license plates you will need to apply in person at your nearest JPJ or through mySIKAP.
With the electronic bidding system, there is no longer a need to go to a specific state JPJ office to submit a bidding form.
