Hong Leong Bank postpones closure of 2 branches!

According to a news release from Hong Leong Bank, the branch in Sungai Dua, North Sea, Penang, which was scheduled to close in August, has been postponed to September 9. However, the decision to close the branch is subject to the approval of the National Bank.

Once the branch in Sungai Dua, Penang is closed, its operations will be transferred to the branch in Jalan Ong Yi How.

The closure of the Balik Pulau branch in Penang, which was also scheduled to close in August, will also be postponed until 23 September. The closure of this branch is also subject to the approval of the National Bank. The closure will transfer its operations to the Sungai Ara branch.

With the popularity of internet banking, Hong Leong Bank is restructuring the operations of its branches. There are still 232 branches and 1,024 self-service machines throughout Malaysia.
