Health Minister Dato Mohd Khairey: Those who mix Sinvac and Pfizer vaccines may need an extra dose of vaccine

Health Minister Dato Mohd Khairey announced in an online press conference on the morning of January 1 that the Ministry of Health is collecting information and does not rule out that people who mix Sinovac and Pfizer vaccines will be vaccinated in the future. But this statement is too early because many people have not received booster vaccines.

According to a report from Reuters, people who beat Coxing and Pfizer vaccines have a lower immune response to Omicron. The antibodies produced by people who receive two doses of Coxing and one dose of Pfizer vaccine will be similar to those of two doses of mRNA vaccine.

Many people in China will receive Sinoav for the first and second doses, while the third dose will be the Pfizer booster vaccine. These people do not rule out that they will receive an additional dose of vaccine in the future.

Some foreign countries are already preparing for the fourth dose of vaccine, among which Israel has also begun to promote the fourth dose of vaccination. People in Israel can start receiving the fourth dose at least 4 months after receiving the third dose. Elderly people, medical frontliner, and people with immunodeficiency are eligible to receive the fourth dose.
