Johorians, have you received your free rice from the state government?
According to Johor State Minister Dato’ Ong Hafiz, 93.86% of Johor households have received the free 10kg rice distributed by the Johor government and the distribution is expected to be completed by June 15.
The Johor government announced on April 14 that it will launch the Bantuan Kasih Bangsa Johor (BKBJ), under which the state government will distribute free rice to a total of 903,136 families in Johor.
The Johor Free Rice Program is a no-application program. The state government will distribute free rice based on data from the database. Whether you belong to the B40 low income group, M40 middle income group or T20 high income group, you will receive free rice from the state government.
The program was supposed to be completed by May 31, but only 93.86% of the program has been completed so far. The Johor government apologizes to the families who have not yet received their rice and will speed up the distribution process.
