Do not misuse the Halal logo.
Datuk Idris Ahmad, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), urged traders not to abuse the halal logo on their goods as a marketing tactic.
The traders shouldn’t lie in this situation. We want to defend the rights of Muslims, not to stop people from enjoying their products. Use of the (false) halal logo for commercial gain is not appropriate when it comes to religion.
The Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) does not recognise the candy product’s label, even if it contains non-halal ingredients.
Prior to this, Jakim’s Halal Hub Division acknowledged that the candy product sported a halal mark that the division did not recognise.
In the meantime, the goal of Keluarga Malaysia, Keluarga Sejahtera supports the importance of solidarity and inspires people to contribute significantly to the nation’s and community’s recovery from the effects of COVID-19.
