The Mirror reported that a robbery occurred in the American state of Indiana. Amber Beraun was robbed by an assailant outside of her house. Unexpectedly, the burglar forced Amber to add him as a Facebook friend after stealing her. Even thereafter, he admitted, “You’re too pretty I can’t rob you.” in a message to her. Amber was horrified when he made the personal money return guarantee.

Early in the morning on May 8th, the incident took place. Amber arrived home from work, and the robber, Damien Boyce, rushed up to her, threatening her with a gun and demanding access to her home so he could look for valuables. She firmly refused, though.

Amber was shocked when Boyce demanded that she give him all of her cash and received about $100 (about RM467). He then abruptly demanded that she add him as a Facebook friend before asking her whether she had a boyfriend.

According to Amber,

“If I added him as a friend, he would leave, and he actually did.”

But soon after, Boyce sent her a message of confession with the statement,

“Look, you know I’mma pay you back. It’s a f***** up way to meet someone, but d*** you was to pretty to rob.”

Amber initially considered granting Boyce the benefit of the doubt and reacted,

“I believe you man. I can tell you’re sweet, times just got rough. I know that.”

Boyce abruptly began droning on and on, even inviting her to ” chill out.” She was utterly terrified by this.

Amber said the experience left her feeling shaken and made her feel less secure in her neighborhood and home.

“It makes me a little on edge knowing that people walk up and down the street, looking for places to commit crimes. It makes it a little different when you hear noises at night.”

Boyce was reportedly arrested on June 12th for allegedly shooting at two persons and attempting to attack someone with a brick, according to the Indianapolis police. He even locked himself inside a building when the SWAT squad came before giving himself up.

Boyce is accused of stealing, illegally possessing guns, acting criminally carelessly, and assault, among other things. He was also charged with armed robbery against Amber on the 21st, and his bail was set at $7,500 (about RM35,051).
