Grab drivers were dissatisfied on Grab reduced fares and used its Grab map.

If you frequently use Grab to get around, you should notice that recent ride orders are frequently cancelled by the Grab driver, or the driver continues to stop at the same location after receiving the order, and finally, passengers who are in a hurry are forced to cancel the order themselves.

To deal with the influx of AirAsia Ride e-hailing vehicles, Grab is said to have recently implemented several changes, including lowering fares to entice people to use Grab. Grab’s 10% to 20% fare reduction is significant. The 10% to 20% reduction in fares offered by Grab is a delight for passengers but a nightmare for drivers.

Furthermore, Grab has begun to use its Open Map. Drivers complained that the Grab Open Map was inaccurate, and that they were frequently asked to turn to take a shortcut at an intersection where turning was impossible, as if they were being asked to fly into the sky and escape the ground. This results in an extremely irrational calculation of Grab’s fare.

For example, driving from point A to point B takes 20 kilometres and 20 minutes, but the Grab Open Map shows that it only takes 15 kilometres and 15 minutes, reducing the driver’s income significantly.

Not only that, but Grab drivers complain about the system’s flaws, which frequently require drivers to travel long distances to pick up passengers, despite the fact that Grab only provides meagre subsidies to drivers.

Drivers are extremely dissatisfied with Grab’s fare reductions and the use of Grab Open Map. Drivers claim that the fares are insufficient to cover the cost of fuel and their time, so when they receive orders with low fares, they choose to cancel the order.
