People are allowed to celebrate between New Year’s Eve and the Lantern Festival, but are required to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs). The public can also visit temples to worship, and on the 9th day of the New Year, they can also worship the God of Heaven. The Lantern Festival allows visits to temples for worship and blessings.
Last year’s Lunar New Year coincided with a serious epidemic, and the vaccination for coronary disease had not yet begun, so the government forbade people to travel across the state to celebrate New Year’s Eve, and relatives from 10 kilometers away were not allowed to have reunion dinners together. In addition, lion and dragon dances were not allowed to take place.
