FUP for unlimited Internet access packages for 5 domestic telecommunications companies!

22/12/2022

Hotlink, Digi, Celcom Xpax, U Mobile and unifi Mobile are all offering Unlimited Internet Plans (UIP). Although all of these plans are claimed to be unlimited Internet plans, they are subject to the Fair Usage Policy or FUP for short.

According to the telecom company, 512kbps can still be used to send WhatsApp messages.

According to Hotlink’s website, the FUP will be 5GB if the user signs up for the Daily unlimited package, 15GB for the Weekly unlimited package and 50GB for the Monthly unlimited package.

For Digi Prepaid, the FUP for all Digi Prepaid packages is 300GB, and once the user exceeds this limit, the speed will be reduced. This is to avoid 5% to 10% of users using 70% to 80% of the bandwidth, which in turn affects the experience of other users, which is very unfair to other users.

Celcom Xpax Weekly unlimited Internet package has a FUP of 20GB, while the 30-day Monthly unlimited Internet package has a FUP of 60GB. U Mobile has a FUP of 30GB to 100GB, with Prepaid U25 offering 30GB and Preapid U35 and U40 offering 100GB. Unifi Mobile Daily package FUP is 10GB, Weekly is 20GB and Monthly is 100GB.
