Four domestic telecom giants have agreed to use DNB’s 5G network.
According to a report in Singapore’s Straits Times, six domestic telecom have signed DNB’s non-binding terms and conditions agreement ahead of the June 30 deadline.
The six telcos also include four telecommunications giants, namely Celcom, Maxis, Digi and U Mobile. YTL Yes and TM Unifi had previously agreed to use DNB’s 5G network.
Celcom, Maxis, Digi and U Mobile hold nearly 90% of the country’s telecommunications market share, and the four telecommunications giants had earlier requested a 51% stake in DNB, although this proposal had been rejected by the government.
It is understood that the shareholder cooperation agreement will be signed in early July.
