Flood evacuee numbers decrease in Terengganu, Kelantan, Selangor.

The number of people seeking shelter at relief centers appears to be declining, suggesting that the flood situation in Terengganu, Kelantan, and Selangor is becoming less dire. In Terengganu, as of 8 p.m., only 55 individuals from 13 families remained in relief centers spread across three districts, indicating that life has almost returned to normal.

Six individuals from two families are at SK Tok Kah in Dungun, nine individuals from two families are at two centers in Setiu, and forty individuals from nine families are at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Atas Tol in Kuala Terengganu. Two centers closed today as the evacuees there went back to their own homes. The number of evacuees in Kelantan decreased to 555 from 135 families at four centers in Pasir Mas and  Bachok districts as of 7.32pm.

SK Tok Deh houses 246 individuals from 84 families in Pasir Mas, SK Kedai Tanjong has 65 individuals from 19 families, SK Jelawat houses 137 individuals from 34 families in Bachok, and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Beris Panchor houses 67 individuals from 16 families.

At last, the number of evacuees in Selangor decreased to 34 individuals from 14 families this morning from 83 individuals from 29 families.

Balai Raya Rantau Panjang closed at noon, and the only center that is still open is SK Sultan Abdul Aziz in the Kuala Selangor district.
