In Taman Bukit Mewah, a man’s body was found in a storm drain that is 1.5 metres (5 feet) deep.
According to Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan, police were notified of the finding on Monday, Nov. 27, at 12:24 p.m.
“A group was sent to the location. They found a man’s body wearing grey shorts and a white T-shirt.
He stated in a statement on Tuesday (Nov. 28) that “a team of firefighters was also on hand to assist in recovering the body.”
After the corpse was recovered at around 1.45 pm, an assistant medical officer from Hospital Kajang verified the man was dead, he added.
“The forensic team’s preliminary examination revealed there was no criminal component to the victim’s death.
“The case has been classified as sudden death and the body has been sent to Hospital Kajang for post-mortem,” he stated.
