FDA Considers Whether to Authorize Fourth Dose of Vaccine!

20/02/2022

Foreign media reports FDA is considering whether to authorize a fourth dose of the coronary vaccine!

According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is reviewing data to consider whether to authorize a fourth dose of the Coronavirus vaccine.

Key factors under review include whether a fourth dose of the vaccine is effective against the Omicron variant strain, whether a fourth dose of the vaccine is needed for all adults, or whether a fourth dose of the vaccine should be given only to specific age groups. The review is still in its preliminary stages and any decision is possible.

Separately, the South Korean government will begin vaccinating 1.3 million people with weakened immunity with a fourth dose of the vaccine, a booster for the second dose.

Our Health Minister Kerry, on the other hand, said that our country will not receive the fourth dose of vaccine for the time being, and that the Ministry of Health will now focus on the third dose of vaccine, as only about half of the country’s population currently receives the booster shot.
