Government will distribute RM150 to students in Jan 2023.

When presenting the mini-budget in Parliament on December 20, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar announced that the government will provide RM150 cash aid to all primary and secondary school students in January 2023. Regardless of the income of their parents, every student can Get RM150.

Prime Minister Anwar stated that the current government will continue the previous government’s policy of providing RM150 cash aid to all primary and secondary school students in order to reduce the financial burden on parents.

Bantuan Awal Persekolahan (BAP) is a government policy that has been in place for many years, distributing aid to primary and secondary school students in January. In previous years, the cash aid was only distributed to students from low-income families, but in 2023 it will be open to students of all income classes. Students will receive the RM150 school start aid through the school.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister stated that the BKM would be distributed in January. The family group will be awarded RM300, while the single individual will be awarded RM100. The previous government’s Bantuan Keluarga Malaysia will be replaced by Bantuan Tunai Rakyat.
