It is reported that Digi Prepaid subscribers received a message from Digi in the morning of August 26th, in which subscriber’s balance has been deducted RM5 or RM10 to sign up for Internet or dial-up packages.
Some Digi Prepaid subscribers were deducted RM5 for 500MB of Internet access and 30 days of unlimited dial-up, while others were deducted RM10 for 8GB of Internet access, without asking for their consent.
The subscriber received a message from Digi a few days ago, in which it said “Enjoy Unlimited Calls and 500MB for 30days@ RM5 only. Not interested? T&C applies”, which means that the user needs to cancel the subscription by August 25, otherwise they will be deemed to have agreed to sign up for the package.
Digi Prepaid subscribers are urged to check the messages they have recently received from 28282 and 2901.
If you are faced with the same situation, you can directly call Digi’s hotline at 016-2211800 or request for a refund through the MyDigi App’s Live Chat.
Users can also file a complaint with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
