There are several types of people who settle in Taiwan, including those who are studying abroad, working, and spouses or parents with household registration in Taiwan. When applying for a permanent residence permit in Taiwan, NT$10,000 is required.
You can apply for a permanent residence permit in Taiwan if you meet the following requirements:
1. After five years of continuous legal residence in Taiwan, and the period of residence in Taiwan must more than 183 days per year expires, the application can be submitted within two years.
2. Spouses and children with Taiwan passport, you must stay legally for more than ten years, including five years of residence for more than 183 days per year, the application can be submitted within two years.
3. Foreign professionals engaged in professional work in Taiwan who have legally lived in Taiwan for 5 consecutive years with an average annual residence period of more than 183 days, the application can be submitted within two years.
4. Specified foreign professionals who have legally and continuously resided in Taiwan for three years, with an average annual residence period of more than 183 days, the application can be submitted within two years.
5. A permanent residence permit for a foreign professionals hired for professional work, their spouses, minor children who are unable to care for themselves due to physical or mental disabilities have legally resided in Taiwan for 5 years, with an average of 183 days per year, the application can be submitted within two years.
6. A permanent residence permit for a foreign professionals hired for professional work, their spouses, minor children who are unable to care for themselves due to physical or mental disabilities have legally resided in Taiwan for 3 years, with an average of 183 days per year, the application can be submitted within two years.
