Higher education students can return to school in phases from March 1!
Senior Minister of Defence Datuk Seri Hisham Mudin announced that students from tertiary institutions can return to school in phases from March 1, 2022. Students must be tested for coronary disease 3 days prior to entering the campus and only those with negative reports will be allowed to return to school.
The Ministry of Health has established standard operating procedures for returning to college and university, and those who have not completed their vaccinations will be required to take a rapid test (RTK-Ag) once a week. International students are required to complete their vaccinations before entering Malaysia and must be quarantined for 5 to 7 days.
Colleges and universities must ensure that they have enough space to accommodate students returning to class, and may choose to teach classes in a blended or online format. Students are required to wear masks, maintain physical distance and maintain personal hygiene while on campus.
Colleges and universities that are subject to this measure include Government University, Politeknik, Kolej Komuniti and private colleges.
