CIMB has launched a time deposit offer with the option to deposit for 3, 6 or 12 months.
CIMB’s newest time deposit offer is eFRIA-i. This time deposit can be placed through CIMBClicks with a minimum deposit of RM5,000.
You can enjoy 2.10%p.a. when you deposit for 3 months, 2.20%p.a. when you deposit for 6 months and 2.30%p.a. when you deposit for 12 months. If you want to deposit, you can login to the web version of CIMBClicks and click on the eFRIA banner on the home page to deposit this time deposit offer. The deposit can only be made through the web version, not through the CIMB Clicks APP.
Here is an example of RM10,000 for 3 months, you can get RM52.50 interest for 3 months.
The interest rate of time deposit is really low nowadays, but if you don’t know how to invest or don’t want to take the risk of investing, time deposit is probably the best choice.
