OpenAI launched the artificial intelligence (AI) tool ChatGPT. Since its launch on November 30, 2022, its active users have exceeded 100 million, making it the fastest-growing consumer application. Its functions include:

  • Writing emails, papers, and scripts.
  • Formulating business proposals.
  • Creating poems and stories.
  • Even typing codes and checking program errors.

Today, for the first time, OpenAI launches the smartphone version of ChatGPT, a generative artificial intelligence (AI) tool!

According to Bloomberg News, the company released the iPhone version on Thursday (18th). This App is currently available for download in the Apple App Store. Its appearance and operation interface is similar to the web version, and OpenAI also promises to provide an Android version of the application soon. In addition to entering text, users can ask questions directly by voice, but the robot can only answer in text. In addition, this App can also synchronize the text conversation content of different devices.

In addition, OpenAI also stated in the statement that the smartphone version is currently only available in the United States and will expand to other countries in the next few weeks. If you want to shorten the answer response time, the company said you need to subscribe to ChatGPT Plus for a fee. The paid version also offers a preview of new features and a more advanced GPT-4 artificial intelligence system.

Today, OpenAI is in the Apple App Store. Still, the Wall Street Journal said that documents show that Apple has restricted the use of ChatGPT and other external AI tools within the company, and the company is currently developing similar technology. The document states that Apple is concerned that employees using external programs “may reveal confidential data.” The company has also told employees not to use Microsoft’s GitHub Copilot.
