Burger King Thailand Introduces “Real Cheese Burger” with Excessive Cheese Slices

13/07/2023

According to CNN, a new product from Burger King in Thailand is making quite a stir. They’ve launched a new burger that’s devoid of meat and instead boasts an astounding quantity of cheese slices.

This week, Burger King’s Thai branch introduced the “Real Cheese Burger,” which contains up to 20 pieces of American cheese. They resorted to social media to stress that “this is not a joke, this is for real.”

The new item debuted on the Burger King Thailand menu on September 9th, with an initial price of 380 Thai Baht (about 50.7 Malaysian Ringgit). However, it immediately garnered popularity on Thai social media, and it is currently available for 109 Thai Baht (about 14.5 Malaysian Ringgit). Many TikTok users have posted videos of themselves eating the burger, and some customers overheard store managers in a Bangkok branch claiming that they had to stop taking delivery orders in order to ensure there was enough stock for walk-in customers.

Im Jeepetch, a 25-year-old IT engineer who tasted the burger after seeing it on social media, told CNN that, while she likes cheese, “it was a bit too much.” “I could only finish half of it,” she said. It’s like an insane amount of cheese in a burger.”

Im Jeepetch expressed a desire not to order this burger again. “Other burgers already taste great,” she continued, “and I think I’ll stick to the Double Cheese Angus Beef Burger as usual.”

Alisa Chuengviroj, a 26-year-old entrepreneur who sells skincare products online, read numerous articles about the “Real Cheese Burger” and decided to stop by Burger King. However, she agreed with Im Jeepetch’s opinion, finding the burger “too overwhelming” with its excessive cheese.
