A local car called the Bezza with a RM 638,000 FF2 license plate was recently the subject of discussion among netizens. This image shared online, according to Land Transport Director Dato’ Zailani Hashim, is frequently edited!
He claimed that the bureau’s inquiry had established that the Bezza license plate that had been reported online was actually KFF 2, not a host vehicle for an FF2 license plate.
He stated that some netizens changed the license plate’s K letter P, leading to misunderstandings among people from all walks of life.
He continued to say that the authorities can investigate and take action against a fake number plate under Section 108(3)(e) of the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333) if it is determined that the number plate has been forged.
However, many netizens at the time questioned the reliability of the image. Even more people on the internet said they had previously seen the Bezza at Aman Central in Alor Setar and pointed out that its licence plate was actually “KFF 2” rather than the more common “KFF.”
