On Tuesday, December 26, in the early hours of the day, a bank security guard in Kota Damansara unintentionally discharged his pump pistol, shattering the front door.
At 10.13 am, according to Petaling Jaya Deputy OCPD Supt M. Hussin Sollehuddin Zolkifly, police got a report of a gunshot heard at the bank.
“When police arrived on the scene, they saw that the gunman was a security officer in his 50s.
He claimed in a statement, “He had a pump gun and accidentally (discharged it), shattering the glass on the front door.”
During the event, no one was injured.
“The guard’s drug test results were negative. Section 39 of the Firearms Act of 1960 is the subject of our investigation,” he declared.
