Attention, please! The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow rainstorm warning to the four states of Northern Malaysia!

According to a statement issued by the Meteorological Department at 6:45 a.m. on December 21, continuous rainfall and strong winds will occur in the four states of Northern Malaysia, which does not rule out flooding in low-lying areas.

The tropical cyclone is over the waters of Sumatra. It is currently moving eastward and will approach the northern part of the peninsula. This situation will bring continuous rainfall and strong winds, and floods may break out in low-lying areas. People are urged to increase their vigilance.

The Meteorological Department has issued yellow rainstorm warnings for Perlis, Kedah, Penang, and Perak (Kerian & Larut, Matang, and Selama). People in these states should be prepared, especially those in low-lying areas, if they find that the water level is rising, they should be prepared to evacuate.

People who drive should also try to avoid roads where lightning and floods occur frequently, and friends who go out should also pay attention to carrying rain gear to prevent continuous rain from affecting their travel.
