Are you considering a career as a teacher? Applications for the Ministry of Education’s Bachelor of Teachers Programme (PISMP) are now open!
Admissions for the Bachelor of Teachers programme will be held from March 15 to April 15, 2022, according to information given by the Ministry of Education Malaysia (KPM). Friends who are interested can apply online.
To be considered for the Bachelor of Teaching programme, you must be under the age of 20, physically and mentally healthy, and involved in extracurricular activities. You must also have 5 subjects with special distinction (A-/A/A+) in SPM, and Malay, History, and English must all have at least an A Honours Kepujian grade, with additional requirements in each course.
SPM applicants in 2021 can apply first in this standard enrolment. The relevant authorities will use the SPM findings to assess if they are eligible after the results are revealed. In 2019, and 2020, SPM students must apply based on their SPM test scores.
Friends who are interested can go to https://pismp.moe.gov.my/ and select the Daftar Permohonan Baru symbol in the LOG MASUK SISTEM section. Then, for a preliminary review, input the ID number. You are free to open a new account.
The Ministry of Education offers a teacher training course called the Bachelor of Teachers Programme (PSIMP). The programme lasts five years, with the first year serving as a preparatory course and the second to fifth years serving as a bachelor’s degree programme. Bachelors are exempt from paying tuition fees and are entitled to a monthly stipend of roughly RM430. After completing the course, bachelors must be designated by the Ministry of Education, and defaulters must pay a set amount of compensation.
Notice! Eligible applicants will be scheduled to take the online teacher qualification test after completing the online application (e-Ujian Kelayakan Calon Guru, E-UKCG). This is a psychological test used to select teacher candidates (ujian psikometrik). The goal is to determine whether or not the applicant is qualified to teach. The interview process is only open to applicants who have passed the E-UKCG.
Candidates who pass the E-UKCG will be invited to participate in a video interview (on the google meet platform). Students who have been accepted must report to Teachers College in August.
