The sun will shine directly on the earth on March 21, and there will be no shadows at midday.

On March 21, the Earth will experience its vernal equinox, when day and night will be the same duration and there will be no shadows at noon in some regions.

The sun will be directly above the equator on March 21, 2022, according to a map released by Malaysia’s Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation. This is known as the spring equinox. There will be no shadows at midday.

On March 21, the planet will have days and nights that are 12 hours long during the day and 12 hours long at night. There will be no shadows at noon in the locations near the equator, such as Pontianak in Indonesia and Quito in Ecuador.

The phenomena of “noon without shadows” will arrive later in Malaysia. On March 25, Kota Tinggi, Putrajaya, and Kuala Lumpur will appear; on March 28, Kuala Terengganu will emerge; and on April 3, Kuala Terengganu will show.

The “noon without shadows” refers to the fact that the sun is directly overhead, hence no shadows occur in direct sunlight.
