According to an announcement by Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tunku Zafrul in Parliament, BKM will be open for applications from 1 January to 31 January 2022. Existing BKM beneficiaries do not need to reapply.
Those who have been denied participation in GKP, BPR and BKC will not need to reapply. These groups will automatically be considered for the BKM.
Beneficiaries of e-Kasih and Baitulmal will also be automatically considered for BKM. The government will review all applicants and existing beneficiaries to determine if they are eligible for BKM assistance.
