VTL for Malaysia and Singapore to be launched on 29th November!

Malaysia and Singapore will launch VTL (Vaccinated Travel Lane) on 29/11, allowing people to travel in and out of the two countries by air and land.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, vaccination coverage in Malaysia and Singapore has exceeded 95%.

Both those entering Malaysia from Singapore and those entering Singapore from Malaysia will need to be tested for covid and only those with negative test results will be allowed to leave the country. During this phase, people will only be allowed to travel in and out of Singapore and Johor by bus and will not be allowed to drive themselves.

If you wish to enter Singapore from Johor, you can take a bus through the Larkin Central Bus Terminal. Those wishing to enter Johor from Singapore can take a bus from the Queen Street (QST) bus station. Initially, a maximum of 1,500 people will be allowed to cross the border daily, after which the number will be gradually relaxed.

Those entering Malaysia from Singapore will need to register at https://mysafetravel.gov.my/ and those entering Singapore from Malaysia will need to register at https://go.gov.sg/vtl-portal.

Note! You will need to registration before you can purchase a bus ticket.

VTL, also known as Vaccinated Travel Lane, allows vaccinated travellers to enter Malaysia or Singapore without quarantine, only to be tested for covid.
