Another childhood tragedy! Why was “Hello Kitty” so scary? It has no mouth because it forbids it to speak!

Do you know? There are scary stories behind lots of cartoon characters and dolls. One of them is that many girls like “Hello Kitty,” the cat with no mouth.

A long time ago, people on the Internet said that “Hello Kitty” had an unknown backstory. There is a rumour that this doll cat with no eyes or mouth is based on “Tamako,” the young daughter of an ancient Japanese general’s young wife. The story goes that this daughter was so ugly that no one would come near her. Even her birth father never met her. The only thing always around her was a doll named “Tamako”, with a big smile.

Her mother was holding the smiley doll “Tamako” loved before she died. The mother didn’t find Tamako’s body until a long time after she had died. Because she felt guilty about her daughter’s death, she became depressed and had trouble sleeping day and night.

Strange things started happening after both mothers and daughters died. The room where they first killed themselves was said to have the girl’s voice saying, “Mom, I’m lonely” and “Why isn’t Mom always with me?” at night, but only a smiling doll was left. To calm public opinion, the General used the Japanese mascot “cat” as a model and sent carvers to carve the doll’s face into a cat’s face. He then ordered the carvers not to cut a mouth on the cat’s face to prevent it from making more sounds.

As the days passed, the General’s family was eventually massacred due to the war, leaving only the cat-faced doll to be sold exclusively around the world. It was improved and renamed “Hello Kitty” without anyone knowing its sad history.
