Tenaga Nasional is investigating on the blackouts on Klang Valley.

According to Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), it is aware of the outages that have been recorded in various parts of the Klang Valley.

Disruptions have occurred in several places, including shopping malls like KL Gateway Mall.

Additionally without power are the Kuala Lumpur Courts Complex and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

Similar problems are being experienced in at least 11 sites, including Subang, Sunway, Petaling Jaya, Cheras, Hulu Langat, Mont Kiara, Setiawangsa, Jelatek, Setapak, Kajang, and Kepong.

TNB stated that its technical staff is looking into the situation in a Facebook post.

Dear customers,

There are currently power outages in several areas.
Our technical teams are identifying the cause. Efforts are underway to restore supplies.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused to consumers during this supply outage.

TNB later explained that it found a problem with one of its transmission lines at the Yong Peng Utara Main Entrance Substation in Yong Peng, Johor. It claimed that the fault resulted in 2.2 GW of load shedding, or 10% of Peninsular Malaysia’s overall power supply demand.

The national power provider said a short while later that all locations impacted by the disruption at 3:02pm today have had their electricity completely restored.
