The boyfriend of a Taiwanese couple who recently visited Hong Kong overslept, thus they were unable to visit Disneyland as planned. In the night, his girlfriend unpredictably attacks him with a razor. She even used an eyebrow shaver to injure herself!
The incident happened in a hotel in Mong Kok, Hong Kong, according to in-depth reporting in the local media. The police were informed that a visitor had died by suicide within the hotel at around 3 in the morning on February 28 (Tuesday).
The couple’s age difference was noted in the report to be 8 years; the man is 28 years old while the woman is only 20. Firstly, they were going to go to Disneyland together on the 27th, but the boyfriend was unable to go as planned because he overslept, which resulted in a disagreement that led to the two developing a cold war.
The girlfriend returned to the hotel the night of the incident after drinking, and the two sides got into a shouting match. With a razor in her hand, the girlfriend attacked her lover after losing control of her emotions, 3–5 cm wound. The girlfriend then sliced her own hand and self-mutilated with an eyebrow razor.
The two had no intention of calling the police, but when the hotel employees noticed that they were bleeding and hurt, they made the decision to report the incident to the police in order to avoid other accidents. The police then arrived at the scene and arrested his girlfriend, charging her with causing injury. They are both currently being treated.
