According to Air Selangor, repairs to a leaky pipe on Jalan Kuching have been finished, and water service will be restored in stages.
At 2 a.m. today, the repair work for a leaking valve at Warta Lama, Jalan Kuching, which impacted 144 districts in Gombak and the federal capital was completed.
Water supply has been provided to consumers’ premises in phases, according to a statement made today by Air Selangor, as the water supply recovery period varies from one place to another depending on the location and distance of the premises.
During the unplanned water supply disruption, alternative assistance in the form of water tankers will continue to be mobilised to the affected districts, with priority given to vital premises.
While collecting water supplies from water tankers, Air Selangor has asked consumers to cooperate by practising physical distancing and using face masks.
On March 29, Air Selangor announced that the repair work on the leaky valve was scheduled to be completed by 9 p.m. on March 30 but was postponed until 2 a.m. tonight owing to heavy rain.
Air Selangor’s official communication channels and website, www.airselangor.com, will be updated on the latest developments regarding the water supply outage.
