Slight heatwave in three sections of the country, according to the Meteorological Department.

Are you experiencing an insanely hot day right now? That’s true! Some areas of the country are experiencing mild heat waves.

Mild heatwaves were reported in three districts of West Malaysia as of March 30, according to the latest data issued by the Malaysian Meteorological Department. People are being asked to avoid their outdoor activities, drink more water, and use sunscreen when going outside.

Temerloh and Maran in Pahang, as well as Tangkak in Johor, are experiencing heat waves.

Heat waves are classified into three levels by the Malaysian Meteorological Department. The first level is a high temperature of 35 to 37 degrees for three consecutive days in the area. T he second level is 37 to 40 degrees for three consecutive days in the area. The third stage is when the temperature in the region exceeds 40 degrees for three consecutive days.

Malaysia is currently experiencing a monsoon alternation period, with scorching temperatures in the mornings and heavy rain in the evenings.
