An unfortunate incident occurred in Florida, USA. A 7-year-old girl and 8-year-old boy were digging a sand hole on the beach. It seemed safe. However, when they were playing in the sand hole, the sand dunes suddenly collapsed and buried them. The girl was rescued. After being sent to the hospital, there was no way to recover.
The fire authorities told the media that they arrived at the scene after a report at 3 pm on Tuesday. A girl about 7 years old and a boy about 8 years old dug a 5 to 6-foot-deep sand hole. It was unknown whether there were adults to help dig. The boy was buried in the sand hole up to his chest, while the girl was completely buried beneath it. Footage captured by eyewitnesses shows that before firefighters arrived at the scene, people worked together with their bare hands to dig sand to save people, while other children looked on at the frightening scene. Firefighters later successfully rescued the girl with shovels and supports, but she had no pulse and resuscitation efforts failed after she was sent to the hospital. The boy is in stable condition. It is unknown how long the two children were buried in the sand.
