A number of Perodua vehicles were implicated in Daihatsu’s falsified crash tests. Perodua issued a statement in response to the incident.
Daihatsu was exposed earlier for falsifying crash tests. Now, after investigation by a third-party review agency, it was found that a total of 64 car models were involved, including Toyota and Perodua models.
It is understood that the car models involved in crash test fraud include Toyota Vios, Perodua Axia, Toyota Rush, Perodua Aruz, Toyota Avanza, Toyota Veloz, Perodua Alza, Perodua Ativa, Perodua Myvi, Perodua Bezza, etc.
Perodua Malaysia has also issued a statement in response to the incident and stated that it is currently discussing the impact of the development of the incident with the relevant authorities in Malaysia. Perodua said it would announce the results after discussions are completed.
