The first phase of STR assistance in 2024 will be distributed in February, and beneficiary families will receive RM500.
Compassionate Assistance (STR) is an assistance program launched by the government. Families with a monthly income of not more than RM5,000 and singles with a monthly income of not more than RM2,500 are eligible to receive assistance.
Applications for the 2024 STR aid are open and will be distributed as soon as February 2024. The 2024 STR aid will be distributed in four phases, namely February, April, August and November.
Families whose monthly income does not exceed RM2,500 will receive RM500 in the first phase of STR assistance in February. Families with a monthly income of RM2,501 to RM5,000 will receive RM100 if they have no children, RM150 if they have 1 to 2 children, RM250 if they have 3 to 4 children, and RM300 if they have 5 or more children. .
For single senior citizens, the first phase of STR assistance in February will receive RM150, while singles aged 21 to 60 will receive RM100.

Without children: RM500
1 to 2 children: RM500
3 to 4 children: RM500
5 children or above: RM500
Households with a monthly income of RM2,501 to RM5,000
Without children: RM100
1 to 2 children: RM150
3 to 4 children: RM250
5 children or above: RM300
Single senior citizen: RM150
Singles aged 21 and above: RM100
