The woman who climbed the tallest building in Malaysia, Merdeka 118, has once again caused a sensation on the Internet!
Angela said she didn’t damage anything during her climb to the top of Merdeka 118, just wanted to capture the moment of the world’s tallest building to create unforgettable art, and revealed the whole process in detail on Twitter.
First, she rented an apartment with a view of the top of the tower and spent weeks observing and identifying important details of the building to make the task easier.
At that time, she estimated that it would take about 7-8 hours to climb to the top of Merdeka 118, but it ended up taking a full 36 hours!
During the climb, we made mistakes in many things. The process took 36 hours, but we ran out of water in the first 5 hours, which was very bad.
Next, when the climbing day officially started, she pretended to be a construction worker and was as unobtrusive as possible.
I ran the first 32 floors and overheated, so I had to lie naked on the concrete to try to cool down and drank all the water I could.
Then her worst nightmare began…she realized she had been discovered and with a look of terror, Angela hid in a small concrete box that not only had no food or water inside, but couldn’t straighten her legs!
Little did I know then that I would have to spend more than 20 hours there!
She couldn’t sleep, move or make any noise during the 20+ hours she spent in the concrete box.
I couldn’t even cry because the workers were right next to me and if I sobbed, they would hear me and turn me over to security. It was the worst time of my life.
Suddenly realizing that if she continued like this, she would be too weak to finish the job anymore, Angela pulled herself together and started pulling her legs up to the top of the tower while the workers were on break!
By the end of the climb, she couldn’t feel her arms and couldn’t lift them, but the view from the top of the tower still lifted her spirits!
It was the rainy season, so I was expecting a grey and dreary view, but what I saw was sunshine and indescribable beauty!
It was a miracle for me personally, I felt alive again, full of energy, and all the hardship was worth it!
She shared in her post that she fell in love with the Merdeka 118 skyscraper the first time she saw it and felt an instant spiritual connection; but it was also one of the toughest climbs of her life and she is not sure she can reach the top again, but wants to be able to share the beauty she saw with everyone.
She also says she respects the laws of each country and doesn’t cause damage to things like other challengers do even when they trespass!
