The free tablet program for post-secondary students is still open for applications until September 30.
To help alleviate the burden of low-income families, the government will distribute free tablets to B40 post-secondary students from low-income families who are enrolled in higher education. Eligible students will receive a Samsung Galaxy A8 tablet.
About 100,000 students have already applied, and 60% of them have already passed the initial screening process, and the government will distribute the tablets to those who have passed the screening process in September. As for those who have not yet passed the screening process or have just applied, they will receive their tablets in October.
The PerantiSiswa program is a government assistance program that aims to ease the burden of post-secondary students from low-income families. Through this program, tertiary students from low-income families will receive a tablet computer. All students are eligible to apply, whether they are attending a state or private college.
Eligible students can apply or check the results of their application at https://perantisiswa.kkmm.gov.my/. Eligible college students are encouraged to apply by September 30.
