According to information released by Hong Leong Bank, the Standardised Base Rate (SBR) will increase from 2.25% to 2.50% and the Benchmark Rate (BR) will increase from 3.13% to 3.38%. The Base Lending Rate (BLR) will also be increased from 6.14% to 6.39%.
In addition, the latest Standardised Base Rate (SBR) of Ambank will be 2.50%, the Benchmark Rate (BR) will be 3.35% and the Base Lending Rate (BLR) will be 6.20%.
Borrowers are urged to check with their respective banks for the latest monthly repayments to avoid facing penalties for underpayment.
With the increase in the BLR, the time deposit rate will also be increased. If you are a time deposit depositor, you will receive a higher interest rate on your time deposit each month.
