According to the Star Daily, the Ministry of Health is expected to follow Singapore’s example next month, and from May at the earliest, Malaysians will no longer be forced to wear masks outdoors and in open spaces!

In short, henceforth.

Wear a mask – indoor & enclosed places
No mask – outdoor & open spaces

But what are the “open” places? And which are “closed” places? It’s a bit confusing!

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has not yet released the details, but according to the MOH’s definition, outdoor places are open, covered but not enclosed places such as ground floor of HDB flats, walkways of retail stores in HDB areas, five-foot bases, bus stops, naturally ventilated bus interchanges, open spaces such as parks, grass fields, nature trails, open covered walkways, flyovers, etc.

On the other hand, it is also reported that from today (April 22), close contacts who have been in contact with patients with coronary artery disease do not need to be quarantined, regardless of whether they have been vaccinated or not, as long as they do not show symptoms, as shown in the official Facebook and Twitter postings of the Ministry of Health.

If symptoms appear, they can also go out as long as the test result is negative and the symptoms are reduced.
Once the news came out, the internet was in an uproar!
