Malaysia’s adolescent population is fully vaccinated at 91.2 percent.
As of yesterday, 2,837,197 people, or 91.2 percent of the country’s teenage population aged 12 to 17, have been properly vaccinated against Covid-19.
According to the CovidNow website, a total of 2,937,206 people have gotten at least one dosage of the vaccine, accounting for 94.4 percent of the population.
Under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Youngsters, a total of 1,167,019 children, or 32.9 percent of the group, have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine (PICKids).
Meanwhile, 15,280,702 adults, or 64.9 percent, have received a Covid-19 booster dose, while 22,934,957 adults, or 97.5 percent, have finished their vaccination and 23,211,514 adults, or 98.7%, have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
A total of 45,025 vaccine doses were given out yesterday, with 23,489 being first doses, 1,349 being second doses, and 20,187 being booster doses, bringing the total vaccine doses given out under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 68,159,756.
According to the Health Ministry’s GitHub page, 87 people died as a result of Covid-19 yesterday, with Johor having the most cases with 22, followed by Selangor (18), Perak (10), Penang (6), and Kuala Lumpur (6).
Pahang had five cases, Kedah and Kelantan had four, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, and Terengganu had three apiece, Sarawak had two, and Sabah had one (one).
