With 87 deaths recorded, the number of new Covid-19 cases has reduced to 22,535.

The number of daily Covid19 instances continued to decline, with the Health Ministry recording 22,535 new cases in the latest 24 hours.

Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, Malaysia’s director-general of health, announced in a statement this morning that the total number of cases registered in Malaysia since the outbreak began is now 3,468,888.

Meanwhile, there were additional 87 deaths, with 25 of them occurring before reaching the hospital for treatment.

Covid-19 has been blamed for 33,807 fatalities since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.
