Casio announced the latest addition to the PRO TREK outdoor watch series on February 15!
In an era of rising environmental awareness, the new PRW-61 is Casio’s first watch made from biomass plastic, a material derived from renewable organic substances! Biomass plastic is a material made from renewable resources (such as castor oil and corn) that can help reduce environmental impact by reducing CO2 emissions, making it very earth-friendly!
PRO TREK outdoor sports series has a wide variety of selection, which are suitable for hiking, daily trekking and fishing, and have always been loved by the public.
This new product, PRW-61, is the first Casio watch to use biomass plastic in the case, strap, and back cover. This eco-friendly biomass plastic is produced from castor seeds, corn and other raw materials. Casio is proud to apply this new material to the PRO TREK series, which has always been an outdoor partner for nature lovers.
For outdoor utility, this model features a triple sensor (digital compass, barometer/altitude gauge, and thermometer), as well as Multi-Band 6 radio wave reception from six transmitter stations around the world, and Tough Solar to provide a steady power source for these and other functions. For optimal readability, the watch is designed with thick hands for viewing the time, direction, and other indicators at a glance, and slits in the strap above and below the dial serve as a reference to help quickly read the direction of the compass indicated by the second hand.
