Maybank is gradually replacing SMS TAC with Secure2u authentication, what should you do if you lose your cell phone which is tied to Maybank Secure2u?
Secure2u means that when a user makes a transaction with Maybank2u, a pop-up window will appear on the Maybank APP for the user to choose whether to accept the transaction or not. If the user accepts the transaction, he/she can click Accept, and if not, click Reject.
If you have lost your Secure2u bound cell phone, there are several ways to disable Secure2u, the first of which is through the Maybank2u webpage. You can login to the web version of Maybank2u and go to Settings, then you need to click on Security and select Secure2u and Disable Secure2u.
The second way is to call Maybank’s hotline.
Once you log in to the Maybank APP on your new phone and activate Secure2u, then the old phone’s Secure2u will be automatically unbundled.
