In the year 2023, here are the details of the long weekend holiday.
In 2023, there are seven long weekends. A three-day holiday is formed when a public holiday falls on a Friday or Monday, as well as a weekend and a two-day weekend off on Sunday. If the public holiday falls on a Sunday, Monday will be given an extra day off, making it a three-day holiday.
According to Malaysia’s Holiday Act, if a public holiday falls on a Saturday, there will be no compensatory holiday; however, if the public holiday falls on a Sunday, there will be a compensatory holiday on Monday (not applicable to Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu).
