The Ministry of Health has confirmed that 1055 schools will become vaccination centers for the Childhood Vaccination Program!
According to a message from Deputy Minister of Health Dato’ Noor Azmi, the State Health Department has identified 1055 schools in the country that will become PPV PICKids, which will be operational by February 14 at the latest.
The 1055 schools will serve as vaccination centers for their students and students from nearby schools, which will speed up the vaccination process for children. The schools will provide a list of eligible children, and then medical staff will be responsible for administering the vaccines.
Parents who have registered their children for vaccination will be notified of their appointments in MySejahtera, and their children’s vaccination certificates will appear electronically in MySejahtera.
In order to avoid congestion in the vaccination centers, only one parent or guardian is allowed to accompany each child.
The Childhood Vaccination Program has been in progress for a week now and a total of 79,393 children have received their first dose of vaccine, of which 28,661 are from Selangor. There are 17,887 in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, 17,877 in Sarawak, 4,962 in Sabah, 3,425 in Malacca and 2,728 in Negeri Sembilan.
